It was actually a modest log cabin in the woods on Chew Road. COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
The men of Shane’s Council are active in supporting many charties which include Deborah Hospital; The Spanner Orginazation; Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts; The Dominican Retreat House; St. Francis House of Prayer; Good Council Homes for expectant and single moms; Atco Senior Citizens, and the Katrena Relief Fund.
PARISH PROGRAMS
The Council’s support for both St. Anthony and Assumption parishes includes St. Anthony Women’s Club Christmas for Needy Families; Assumption
Food for the Needy; St. Anthony Vacation Bible School Bibles; Assumption Vacation Bible School food program; St. Anthony Church Restoration Project; Assumption Golf Tournament; St. Anthony Easter Egg Hunt; Mother’s Day Flowers for all Moms; Assumption School Bond Award; St. Anthony Christmas Party; Support for a young Seminarian and Sponsoring of bus trips such as the Living Nativity.
