Glorious Martyr Sostine, our protector, we praise you who, when the angel appeared, took up the cross and refused and despised the honors and the promises of Diocleziano by embracing together with “Saint Vittore and Saint Eufemia, the faith of the true God. Please! Let us too despise the honors of the world and its promises.

Glorious Martyr,
Who for love of God
When the angel appeared
Scorned the glory of the evil world.
Please make it so that we too
Will disdain the evil world.

Glorious Martyr Saint Sostine, our protector, who for love of God, suffered the prison and the most cruel tortures, defeating this way the cruelty of the ferocious tyrant, please make it so that we, your servants can also win through your patronage, the cruel and devilish dragon.

You suffered in the dark prison
You had no fear
And you were a winner
Over the cruel tyrant;
Please! Help us, your servants
To win over evil.
 

Invincible, strong and glorious Martyr Saint Sostine, our protector, who, when thrown cruelly as feed to the wild beasts, came out unhurt and made them humble and tamed, coming out a winner over the cruelty of proconsul Decio, please, see to it that people who believe in you can come our winners in the world over their desire and their passions.

You, among the ferocious beasts
Gladly showed your invincible
Virtue and defeated the consul
Please, see to it that the people
Who believe in you will also be
Able to be winners over themselves.

Glorious Martyr Saint Sostine, example of true perseverance and our protector, who from the flames prepared by the cruel tyrant came out unscathed and saying glory to God and became real witness and champion of the true faith, please make it so that the people who believe in you will always be strong and firm in the faith of the true God.

Since you came out unscathed
And fearless from the fury
Of those hot flames and
Since you gave an intrepid
Example to the people who
Believe in you please see
To it that we remain strong
And firm in our faith.

Wonder of sanctity, glorious Saint Sostine, our protector who, after so many tortures and sufferings, earned the glory of heaven and the honor to sing among the martyrs the hymn of victory, please, see to it that we too, after the troubles and sufferings of this life, we will be able to sing the hymn of victory and enjoy with you the glory of heaven.

And now that in the heaven
Of the martyrs you enjoy
The pleasures of sanctitude
Look over the people who implore you.
Accept their praises
And please help them in life
And accept them in heaven.

Glorious Martyr Saint Sostine, our protector, we humbly ask your to accept our small praises, even if full of imperfections that today, kneeled at your feet we present to you with full faith and hope that our prayer will be answered . Glorious Saint Sostine, having experienced so many times your valuable patronage we ask you to concede to us the miracle that each one of us desires and to bless us, our families, our farms, the stores, the industries, to bless the Pope, our loved Pastor. Finally, Glorious Saint Sostine, we ask you to convert all the sinners and to give universal peace to the Church.      Amen.
